Bark participated in an architecture competition inviting Australian architects to design a new gallery and exhibition space for Australian art, to be used for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2012 in Japan.

The theme of this year’s National Architecture Conference is ‘Experience’ and is being hosted in Brisbane for the first time in 24 years. Bark directors, Stephen Guthrie and Lindy Atkin, along with architect John Mainwaring have ‘curated’ the Sunshine Coast Residential tour for the Australian Institute of Architects.

Originally designed by Bark for a young family in 2002, the original premise of the house was economy, durability and simplicity. A change of ownership in 2009 provided an opportunity to exlpore its design flexibility to suit the requirements of its new owners.
