Bark participated in an architecture competition inviting Australian architects to design a new gallery and exhibition space for Australian art, to be used for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2012 in Japan.

The theme of this year's National Architecture Conference is 'Experience' and is being hosted in Brisbane for the first time in 24 years. Bark directors, Stephen Guthrie and Lindy Atkin, along with architect John Mainwaring have 'curated' the Sunshine Coast Residential tour for the Australian Institute of Architects.

Aptly titled 'Practice on the Coast Edge', Bark directors Lindy & Steve participated in the Asia Pacific Design Library Lecture Series 2012 and explored how Bark's residential and community projects represent a sharp contemporary development of a distinctive coastal architecture, reviewing the journey of 18 of our projects.

Visiting a book store, the 'light box' on the front cover caught Steve's attention, then recognising it as a Bark Design project!

Bark included in Place Makers: Contemporary Qld Architects, the largest exhibition of contemporary architects ever staged in an Australian Art Musuem.

Four of Bark’s award winning designs are detailed in Next Wave, published by Thames & Hudson London. Projects include Art Box, Bark Studio, Hervey Bay House and Tinbeerwah Residence.
