Mission Beach Community Arts Centre Opening

Located at MARCS Park Mission Beach, the brief from clients Mission Beach Community Association and MiCorp Property was to design a solar passive multi-purpose Community Arts Centre.

Modular and economical boxes are gathered and sheltered beneath a large canopy fly roof, protecting from the harsh tropical heat and generous rainfall whilst providing permeable spaces 'in between' which will promote interaction and connection between the arts community.

The centre is a work in progress with Stage 1 now complete.
A gala opening was attended on 26 August 2011.
